Simon Davis joins the FiSci advisory board
A strategic partnership with C2 Operations, and two decades of Australian fire and emergency services leadership joining our advisory board.

We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership between FiSci and C2 Operations Pty Ltd, and to welcome Simon Davis, Director of C2 Operations, as the newest member of the FiSci advisory board. This marks a significant step forward in our mission to transform bushfire management in Australia, combining our technology with decades of operational expertise.
Operational excellence and industry insight
Simon Davis brings decades of frontline and strategic leadership across Australian fire and emergency services, including senior operational roles such as Chief Superintendent for the NSW Rural Fire Service. Throughout his career he has led teams of hundreds of personnel, managed thousands of volunteers, coordinated multiple incident control centres, and overseen large-scale mitigation and response programmes across extensive regions.
He has also held senior NSW Government executive roles overseeing state-level operations, emergency policy, crisis coordination and disaster recovery, activating numerous natural disaster declarations across hundreds of Local Government Areas.
As Director of C2 Operations, Simon provides advisory, strategy and interim leadership support for organisations across emergency management, agriculture, renewables, infrastructure and government. That experience gives an unparalleled perspective on operational realities, risk management, and the systems needed to keep communities and assets safe.
I am committed to offering dynamic and authentic executive leadership — drawing on deep operational, policy and strategic expertise.
— Simon Davis, Director, C2 Operations Pty Ltd

Together we aim to change how bushfires are prevented and managed, reducing the impact on communities, infrastructure and the environment. The focus areas:
- Mitigation planning. Using Mitigate and Simon’s operational insight to design and prioritise prevention strategies that save lives and assets.
- Risk assessment and decision support. Combining real-time risk modelling with field-tested operational expertise to provide actionable insight for agencies and land managers.
